Is there a difference in flywheels in the various production years? I can't think why, but I thought in 84 they changed something. I have a 74 360 and wanted to use the flywheel off a 84 360 that came with an auto -- but thinking I can't.
Any thoughts?

the only thing that changed was in the early 70's the crank flange was diff. after that they are all the same as far as I know

yes you can swap flywheels for different years
