I got a dumb question.
What is the difference between a full spool & a mini spool beside the size or the obivious.
I want to run a spool in the front of my 8 but no one makes one for a D-30 or so I'm told so I'm looking @ a Scout D-44, do I need to upgrade anything on the axle, "U" joints maybe?

P.S. What brand of spool do you recomend if any.
P.S.S. I'm thinking of running a auto-locker in the rear also.

A mini spool just replaces teh spider gears, and a full spool replaces the carrier and all, it is a much stronger set up. Only thing with running a full spool upfront is steering will be very difficult. You may be better off with the spool in the rear and a selectable locker up front

I put an Aussie locker in the front of cj5 and it work fine my son welded his and you can it is something els to drive I would not put a spool it the front.
