the chopper show had a thing on it called a flowjet, uses water with an abrasive in it to cut through steel plate. :shock:

Taz That is how we make shackles, they are rough cut on a waterjet. The downside is that these machines are 200,000-1M dollars a piece :shock:

we use them to cut carbon fiber/kevlar epoxy panels on the c-17.
save us lots of time and money. no replacing saw blades! :t:
