dhawker What screws into the top of the waterneck, a temp sender? My original one off my '87 Grand Wagoneer didn't have a threaded hole in the top. Dalan Hawker
jeepsr4ever Dalan a vaccum selenoid screws into the top. It is easily plugged by using a small brass plug (you can find those at almost any hardware store)
dhawker Can I put a temp sender in there to run a 12volt electric fan or will it restrict flow too much? Dalan
Comet Keep in mind that if you put a sensor in there, with a thermostat in the housing, you will not get real good readings until the thermo is opened up. Also, I question whether or not the hole is deep enough as most sensors I've seen are fairly deep.
Briteblock I agree thats why i wouldnt see a heat reading untill it was warmed up a little...but really all AMC manifolds for street have those tapped holes on the drivers side of the thermostat housing in the intake for a sensor.
redneckjeeper Briteblock not all AMC street manifolds have the threaded hole by the water neck, I run and Offenhauser dualport Intake on my 360 and i had to make my own for the water temp sensor, just to let you know ::D
