Normally I get along really well with the local police department BUT

I was sent a ticket in the mail for my CJ which isnt even in the road and hasnt been driven for months. This ticket is dated 2-23-04! The same day I got a winter parking ticket In my ZJ......I am tromping up to the local PD to find out why they are busting my chops. It always happens from time to time that we get new rookies and the first thing they want to do is clean up the neighborhood. We dont have a crime rate just a bunch of dumb swede's with drinking problems here. I will give an update If I dont get too mad and they throw me in the slammer for yelling at a 23yr old rookie

Guess I'm guilty they said it was a junked vehicle!!! I protested but to no avail. I will find out the fine amount later today and post some pics

Yah, my dad got ticketed for not having a licence plate on his jeep. His CJ5 was sitting at the top of his driveway - and he has a really long driveway. The only reason he removed the licence plate in the first place was that kids had been going around his neighborhood stealing plates. Why the freggin' cops couldn't spend their time catching the kids for stealing plates instead of ticketing my dad... How did the cops know that the kids didn't STEAL my dad's plates? Stupid.

We were out 4 wheeling and the cop try get use to come back and talk to him we waved and when on he could not make it up the hill.
when we came back there he was off the road he called a tow truck didn't know how to use the winch.

Where do you guy live can't park a unlicensed car in the back yard. My I got 4 or 5 dead one out back. I have 6 acres and a few tree to hide them from the wife, f##k the neighbor I was here first. Jerry

Here in my town, "hobbyists" can't keep unliscenced vehicles in a residential area without a "Hobbyist Permit" which only lasts 90 days (I think), and is expensive as hell..

How many folks here could build a Project vehicle in 90 days?
how many people are willing to pay liscencing fees on a project vehicle that may be down for many months?

I think the whole idea is Bull Sh*t, myself.
Fortunately, they don't seem to enforce it very energetically.

However, to be perfectly honest, It really doesn't effect me greatly as my project will be workeed on either A.In my Windowless Garage, or B. At the Shop in an industrial area where that law does not apply.

I just wish the law would pay a bit more attention to the equipment violations on all these Import "Ricers".
Obscured visibility for the driver with all those painted-over windows and oversized spoilers, White brake lights, and Policeman-Endangering window tint.

(And they thought we Hot Rodders were Naughty.) 111!!!
