Remember that if you want to put a V8 in a Gremmie, you need to have the V8 crossmember and shock towers. That would be the same as the Spirit, and Hornet. You cannot put a V8 in a six-cylinder car without swapping in the crossmember and related parts. I know one guy near me who has a Gremlin he would sell, which he brought from Chicago out here to Portland, and he keeps vacillating between wanting to sell it and wanting to keep it. You could probably get it from him if you made him an offer. It has the V8 crossmember and towers. If you find a better car, but it is a six-cylinder model, I know another fellow who is parting out a rustbucket Gremlin that has the crossmember and towers. He will sell the crossmember and towers for $200. I understand that Galvin's Rambler Parts in California makes a fabricated crossmember, but it is about $250, and I do not think that includes the shock towers.

Yeah Colin's right i have often thought about making the crossmember but i can never get one thats laying around, if someone sent me one i could make it production but untill then those spirits will be parted out.......

Mc never posted the grim pic yet
Gremlin4ever
I once had the crossmember and towers, but "family" did a little yard cleaning and they disappered  Trash man should be happy, then again, he wouldn't have known what they were :-|
Now I'm set on a full chassis with struts and rack-n-pinion for the light weight so I'm not hurting too bad with the lose.

My 73 gremlin is getting a heart transplant. It is a 360 but is getting a 401. I would have kert the 360, but it was junk. I bought three gremlin "shells" if you are interested. Cool junkyard find. I am restoring the best and V8est one, but the 2nd place gremlin is mostly complete and has a six in it. Not running, but if you had some time and money...
