Oil Filter adaptor bypass

The factory plate may or MAY not have sealed when the oil filter stud was screwed in. Also the stock spring that allows the dirty oil in the engine if the oil filter plugs gets weak over time and you may be letting dirty oil in your engine, this plate eliminates the stock spring, composite plug and stock retention adaptor, In addition to plugging this bypass (which is now cast in by crown timing covers) it also maintains a tight seal when properly torqued.

Please excuse my ignorance. I run a bone stock 304. would this help me out?? should I also get the high pressure spring???? is there a book or something that can explain this amc oil pump.

We will be doing a large post on the oiling system very soon. HP springs arent a good idea in a street motor and this bypass is not made anymor due to the oil filter adaptors with it cast in that we sell being soo cheap.
