Well here it is in all it's glory...

I don't think I'll be able to hide the aircleaners under the hood...so a set of velocity stacks is in order.

In using the Indy pump and front cover I ran into the problem of where to take the oil pressure from. :-| The Indy cover doesn't have a port back into the block as the stock cover does. So I had the regular oil pressure port hole drilled and tapped out.

then I drilled and tapped a oil plug and installed a 90 degree fitting in the back of the block.

I'll have to cut a small hole in the plate between the block and tranny for clearance, but the fitting should miss the convertor bolts and flexplate weights. Anybody have any other ideas? Anybody here runs an Indy cover and pump?

Other pics are...the oil lines out of the pan and the one fitting on the block is the oil back in after the filters...

So far I this build has been a real pain in the A$$ getting parts, fitting parts and waiting for back ordered parts. The headers fit like crap, I had to grind them to even come close to matching the ports. Then I had some new sealing beads welded around them, so now I have to file them back down.
Hedman headers...get what you pay for...they must need a new jig 🙁: Summit and Jegs have been a help, but PAW must have their inventory in a 10 X 10 shed. Nearly everything I ordered from them was backordered. 🙁: The Indy heads need to be drilled and tapped bigger for the Alt. bolt also... #-o Tomarrows project.
To top it off, the woman nearly found out how much I have spent on this motor one night while we were drinking in the garage. #-o

I also found a nice J10 step side, but it has a 258 with a stick. I was thinking of that but I'm about tapped for money and I think it would be hard to install th400 and transfer case. Also did they use Dana 44's with the 258's?? It's a mid 80's model. Anybody interested? its in southern MN.
